1. Learn

Empowering youth for sustainable livelihoods in the creative economy by breaking down systemic barriers that limit marginalized young people’s access to skills development and economic inclusion. Through a blend of hands-on training and professional development, we equip them with the tools they need to thrive and succeed.

2. Earn

We go beyond trainings equipping youths with the skills to earn, sustain themselves, and achieve financial independence. Through hands-on, access to market locally and globally and professional development in visual arts, design, crafts, among others, they turn creativity into sustainable income sources. This not only strengthens their resilience against economic hardships but also enables them to support their families and communities.

3. Thrive

By transforming creativity into a sustainable livelihood, young people do more than earn a living they build meaningful careers, uplift their communities, and shape a future they control. Empowering youth in the creative economy goes beyond skill-building; it establishes a foundation for lasting success, enabling them to thrive, not just survive.

Because having skills and a stable source of income can change everything.

Youth face systemic barriers to education, employment, and entrepreneurship, leading to economic exclusion and high unemployment rates in Kampala. At Faces Up, we recognize that these challenges go beyond financial hardships they create a unique form of trauma that deeply affects young people's self-worth and motivation. For marginalized youth, especially women, refugees, and persons with disabilities, persistent inequality and rejection from economic opportunities reinforce a cycle of hopelessness, making it even harder to take control of their lives. We are trying to break this cycle by providing skills training, mentorship, and financial support while creating a safe, trauma-informed space where young people feel seen, valued, and empowered to build a future of dignity and opportunity.
