Through this personal and sentimental exhibition, Aksanti B. (2003) unveils the emotional marks and lived experiences of displaced people, those who have been forced to leave everything behind and navigate the challenge of beginning again.
Since 2019, Makano has been working on a body of works titled “MIRRORS”, where he features figures that have made an impact and inspire(d) youths in Uganda and the World Over
At the centre of our work, we believe that young people from underserved communities have all the potential to enable themselves to live their dreams and the life they desire. However, if their potential is unknown and not nurtured, their talents, skills, abilities, and resilience are in jeopardy.
