MENTORSHIP DIALOGUE

Slider

WHY IS IT NEEDED?

With a population growth rate of 3 percent, Uganda has the youngest population in the World with 47.8 percent are below 15 years and 76 percent below 30 years. This has widened the dependence burden thus becoming a major implication to the economic growth of Uganda. As per now, having a youthful population, manifests itself as a huge constraint to the per capita income in Uganda, as such, we see very many young people being disengaged and disillusioned but yet with proper mentorship, the youthful population can bide well for future growth of the economy if skills are developed, talents are nurtured and literacy levels struck high.

WHAT WE DO ABOUT IT.

To deliver Uganda to the middle-income Country status which is envisaged under Uganda Vision 2040, it takes into account all the development frameworks. This is an annual event which brings together students, parents, young change-makers, and other key stakeholders to share best practices as regards to mentorship as a tool to empower young people. Through discussions around education, skills and talent development, mentorship and employment to interest the young people to focus on their future will place them in better positions where they live their dreams.
